Acne Facial
Facials are a great way to clean and exfoliate the skin, helping to treat breakouts and blackheads. Steam is used to open the pores, and then extractions remove dirt, oil, and bacteria. Treatment masques and massage help to add nutrients back into the skin, stimulate circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage.
Chemical Peel
Chemical peels remove the top layers of skin, opening up the pores so oil and bacteria won’t be trapped. This resurfacing can also help to reduce the appearance of acne scarring and regulate oil production. For acne, the use of salicylic acid has been proven to be a very effective acne peel with little to no down time following the procedure.
Acne V-Beam
The V-Beam is a laser that is used to treat acne and acne scarring. P. Acne, the bacteria that causes breakouts, can be killed using the wavelength of light that this laser emits. There is little to no downtime or side effects associated with the procedure. The V-Beam treatments have been shown to produce results more immediately than traditional topical and oral medications.
Levulan Treatment for Cystic Acne
Levulan is an FDA approved product for the treatment of many skin conditions, including cystic acne. The Levulan is painlessly applied to the skin and left to absorb for about an hour. While the product absorbs, the overactive oil producing glands take in the Levulan, while the healthy, normal skin cells do not. The doctor then used a laser with a specific wavelength to activate the Levulan, destroying the overactive cells. This process minimizes the appearance of pores, regulates oil production, and improves skin texture.
